Apple – Washington Post Web Mixup?
This morning I clicked on a link that was supposed to go to a page on the Apple.com website, but I ended up on a Washington Post 404 “page not found” page. I went back to the referrer, checked the link, and it was properly set to go to apple.com. So I typed”www.apple.com” in my browser and it took me to the Washington Post home page. I tried a different browser and the same thing happened. Later, when I got to work, the problem did not occur. Back home tonight, it also is not happenning. If I go to the apple.com site I see the correct pages.
One other thing, if I went to an apple.com subdomain such as “http://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa” it also worked properly. I was able to check the posts there, and nobody posted anything about this problem. I’ve also run a few google searches and found no references to anyone else having this problem. I don’t know if it was a problem local to me, my service provider, or somewhere else. I’m basically putting this up just so if anyone else searches for apple ans washington post, they will find something, even though this isn’t very informative. If you find this, please post a comment, and if you know why it happened, please educate me. Thanks.
