Time – see what’s become of me

Leaves are brown
And the sky
Is a hazy shade of winter.”
After I dropped my daughters off at school this morning I started for the subway, hit shuffle on my iPhone, and while walking by St. John’s cemetary, the Bangles version of Hazy Shade of Winter comes on. Never before have my surroundings so well matched the earbud soundtrack.
Fortunately, neither matched my mood, and I actually found the moment rather exhilarating.
