Six of One: Centurion Control Explained
Well, when I wrote this post on Friday, I mentioned that I did so because the previews for that night’s episode indicated they might, might, have something to say about Cylon skin job control over the mechanical Cylons. The actual payoff was much more complete than I expected.
Inhibitors. The skin jobs inserted inhibitors into the Centurions to repress their capabilities and emotions. Works for me. They still haven’t explained how they managed to do this. There seem to be many more centurions than skin jobs, and they’re much better designed for fighting, obviously. Once the inhibitors are in, things should go smoothly enough (until somebody decides to take them out), but getting them in must have been very a contentious and violent process. I guess that’s what they were doing for 40 years during the truce with the Colonies.
